Tooth Filling Dentist Wyoming MI

Don’t ignore a toothache! The sooner you seek treatment, the more likely we’ll be able to restore your tooth. A cavity filling is minimally invasive compared to having a root canal. Likewise, we may need to extract teeth that are beyond repair. Call us today if you suspect you may need a cavity filling. Our tooth filling dentists will do everything they can to protect your oral health.

What to Expect

Our dentists may recommend a tooth filling if they need to remove a small cavity. First, our dentists will numb your tooth so you won’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Once you’re numb, they’ll drill out and remove the decayed tooth structure. Next, they’ll fill the hole with composite resin to restore the look and function of your tooth.

Aftercare Instructions

Your tooth and cheek will still be a little numb immediately after the filling procedure. For this reason, we recommend that you delay eating or chew carefully until the numbness is gone. Otherwise, you may bite the inside of your cheek by accident.

It’s normal to feel some discomfort after getting a tooth filling. Yet, we recommend calling our office if the pain persists for more than a couple of days. In the meantime, you can take over-the-counter medication while you recover.
